Poster Guidelines

Poster Specifications and Set Up

We are excited to have you share your work at RE:BORDER 2026. The following suggestions are meant to be good starting point to help you create your poster. .

• Common sizes are 56"x 42" or 48” x 36”
• 3-4 columns
• Poster title
• Author information
• Institution name/logo
• Research content (including images, graphs, etc., as required)
• References/Acknowledgments

Software

There are many different programs that can be used to create a poster. Make sure you set your document size to 56"x 42" or 48” by 36” in accordance with the acceptable poster printing dimensions. Here are a few fairly user-friendly suggestions:

• PowerPoint
• Google Slides
• Microsoft Word 

SDSU Template

This is a basic poster template you may use. It is not required, but it is a good starting point. Creativity and originality are encouraged.

Arrival and Installation

Doors open for the RE:BORDER Conference at approximately 8 am on Oct. 14, 2026 in the Conrad Prebys Aztec Student Union. The tentative time for the Poster Session is 12:30 - 1:30 pm.  When you arrive in the morning, you will be directed to the poster session location and receive instructions regarding set up. Be prepared to set your poster up first thing when you get there, with the exact location to be determined. Check this website or watch your emails for updates.
